"We Care" with Regenda

"We Care" with Regenda

One of the largest housing groups in the North of England has announced a new partnership with TrackaPhone. TrackaPhone will deliver its industry leading, "Secured by Design" Lone Worker Protection solutions across their workforce. The solution, monitored by the ERC, Professional Witnesses Group, monitors key lone workers across the entire North West region within The Regenda Group.

TrackaPhone’s implemented Employee Protection solution, featuring the new Version 20 of the Blackberry Alert Client, will allow The Regenda Group to ensure an improved duty of care for their at risk employees, whilst making health and safety more relevant to employees in their daily working lives. What’s more, The Regenda Group is now safe in the knowledge that it is leading the industry with its innovative Health & Safety approach, which has been further endorsed by the Suzie Lamplugh Trust.

The first phase of the project focuses on lone workers, and will see key staff issued with TrackaPhone’s new cutting edge Blackberry Alert Client to help keep them safe while they work.

The handheld device allows staff to inform others where they are and how long they expect to be; for their meetings to be listened in to by a professional witness, and to raise a red alert if they feel a situation is getting out of hand. The project was launched last week at the Last Drop Village in Bolton, attended by staff who work at Regenda’s Horwich head office and from around the region.

Phil Derry TrackaPhone CEO stated, “Some nine years ago we thought that TrackaPhone would be a service company but over a number of years it became very clear to us that we had to concentrate on the multitude of components that it takes to bring together a resilient platform enabling the delivery of an agnostic asset protection technology.  The Professional Witnesses  Group use TrackaPhone’s platform to deliver a world class “Lone Worker Protection Service” enabling Regenda to support their staff in the field.

The initiative has been led by Matthew Callcott, Health, Safety and Facilities Manager at Regenda, who said:

“Like all organisations, we have a responsibility to ensure our working practices comply with health and safety regulations – but to many people, that can seem complicated and overly burdened with jargon and procedures. This offers a simple solution to our lone workers that fits in with their day-to-day routine with the minimum of fuss.”
